Drive missing in Vista. If the CD/DVD Rom is not recognized in the BIOS it will not be available in Windows. So matter what I did it can't help. her latest blog I am not able to install Windows XP OS CD.

R. Report jeevan- Jun 14, 2010 at 12:23 PM thanks a lot...! I bought a new 160 GB SATA HDD. Windows Not Detecting External Hard Drive Have an HP and only had an option to Disable SATA Native support from BIOS but it worked a treat.

I don't get any error messages in the event log but the day it happened i got event ID:11. Close and click on file, follow brief instructions.
