I then just decided to use that command in the terminal, a while later, my left speaker started working. if an external device works ok it might be the built in speaker. ( yuk ) . I didn't even install any packages this time, nor did I reboot my computer. However, I don't think it's a hardware problem. I've even checked it in the PulseAudio Volume Control program. So, for example, if the problem exists only with DVDs and not any other source, such as radio or CDs, then it's possible that either the DVD player and/or cable connecting it And thanks for posting, it helps. Again, it's not working anymore, but I know that it can work.
