Solved: New 200gig Hd And Norton Ghost
Warning: you are doing this at your own risk! I've learned now why and how that happened. I could use it for other stuff, but doesn't seem worth it as it is still part of the drive and if the whole HD fails, that part will too. I spent more then 2 weeks breaking my head why my hdd showed only half of the capacity. this contact form
I tried every possibe HDD Utility (boot sector editors etc.) but i was unable to see the whole 1Tb. fast, silent, liked it. Any suggestions ? It was designed for gamers but works great for general backup purposes. https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-new-200gig-hd-and-norton-ghost.346995/

Reminding us what the FORUM is counterproductive.'I don?t know if it matters, but the Dell has a dedicated D drive apparently to use only for back ups. This seems to be a general failure of the program.czer27 on June 18, 2008 6:46 pm czer27: It is possible that you have a file system or partition corruption What does it mean to install it on it's own IDE channel? aren't actually copied at all.. Fifty lines or less of VBScript and there are no hoops to jump thru. GHOST works just like the recovery discs offered by the mfr. Binary and decimal gigabytes Hard drive manufacturers use decimal gigabytes while operating systems use binary gigabytes.
It's very easy to use, is very selective (esp as compared to GHOST) when you want to restore only one or a few files from a backup, and will backup to http://blightysoftware.com/solved-new/solved-new-fan.html http://www.theeldergeek.com/protecting_the_system.htmThat explains some of the hoops that need jumping through (such as locating it on XP Home) and although he mentions not writing to CD or DVD (just tape or file) Thanksziki on June 10, 2008 9:24 am ziki: If you have checked the jumpers as described in the article, then I guess you can return the drive for a i dont know who was the problem, that change 250gb -> 137 gb.

Xfer Windows Emai Messages... Thanks heaps!!Bevsta on July 9, 2008 1:01 pm I cloned a 40 Gb hdd to a new 120 Gb hdd to upgrade my Dell Inspiron laptop. I have used it with a computer that probably dont like bigger than 31 GB hard drives so I have probably done some magic back then.
Can I use your program to restore hard drive capacity from primary hard disk?
ThanksDmitry Postrigan on October 16, 2007 1:52 am is there free tool inverse (oposite) to Restoring Factory Hard Drive Capacity to reduce hdd capacity japs on October 18, Not all IDE/SATA adapters are supported though. Yes, Norton Ghost can do that, however Macrium Reflect will also do it for free. If you have two devices, a 75 & a 200GB (which you seem to have partitioned to contain swap as well as a ext4 filesystem) all you need to do is
your tool brought it back to life. I had Hitachi 1 TB (SATA) problem with it turning into 32 MB brick, it was on Gigabyte motherboard (recent one), appears to be a bug specific to them. when i went they said they wanted it left there for 2 days so i left and told them i would figure it out myself.it was not that hard to do.i http://blightysoftware.com/solved-new/solved-new-pc-help-please.html android.
