Solved: New Build
There is more to it than just being not as over clockable. Also the I7-2600 will O/C the normal 10%-15%. Most of us are contantly scrounging for out-dated parts just to keep old Builds running. I'll wait for the mobo maybe... http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3287545/build-post.html
An error (403 Forbidden) has occurred in response to this request. The non-"K" in the name (i7-2600) represents a processor that hasn't been unlocked. The thing that will make your computer fast is an SSD running the operating system. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top raphoenix Posts: 14920 This post has been reported.

Rick P. Meaning it cannot be overclocked. Subscribe so that you do not miss any. I am planning to use the cooler that comes with the processor for now, and no GPU, but if I need one, I'll get one later (am I wrong?).
I was curious about your processor choice compared with what you are asking for. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top PandaFace Posts: 136 This post has been reported. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top Budohorseman Posts: 847 This post has been reported. Do not skimp on the wattage.
Makes for, again, a natural combo. Did you bench test before installing the hardware in the case? I suspect your problem lies elsewhere. I am trying to build a new computer with a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P motherboard, 32 gigs of ram, NVIDIA GeForce 1GB PCIE X16 graphics card, and an AMD FX-8300 8-core processor.
Too much trouble and too expensive. weblink Thanks. As I understand: The "K" in the name (i7-2600K) represents that the processor is "unlocked", per se, and can be overclocked through the BIOS. Regarding GPU, I need to do some basic image processing and be able to watch a movie or two when I have a free moment late at night.
lets just say they aren't the cream of the crop, lol. As far as GPU goes, you would have to be more specific on your needs. You can even cut out the video card, as the motherboard has integrated graphics on it. -- EDIT-- I'd recommend this SSD, as I use it, it's been great, but it http://blightysoftware.com/solved-new/solved-new-build-problems-please-help.html I get no video at boot!
Yeah, but a video card can be easily added later. You'd save a lot of money anyway without taking a hit on performance (compare here and here) --EDIT-- @whs, thanks for approving the build! You'd be better off getting a dedicated card.
I use computer to analyze data on Matlab and also do some work with graphics.

This makes for running Dual VM O/Ses at the same time plus Trusted Execution Technology is good in any enviornment. That should be your OS drive, and maybe a select program (your MATLAB) or two. How about this one? If you want to add a new Windows OS just tack on another $100 for the Home Premium OEM.
That makes a world of difference.
