Solved: Office 2000 Won't Install
All of this resulted in the same, the config kept showing up on startup. This at least fixes the irritating errors with registry permissions whillst installing without having to manually find each key one at a time as setup fails. I tried loading my Office 2000 Pro software onto the Vostro but found (as others have reported) that the base software will load and run, but the SR-1 patch via o2ksr1a.exe I have a Program Files folder and a Program Files (x86) folder. There are a few fixes recommended here that seem to make sense with what I'm experiencing. Yes, they saw the point. But, why would Excel, Outlook and Access continue to do the whole config/install thing?!? SR-1 should then load for you and run.3.
Every time I try to run Word, Excel, etc., a window opens with the title "Configuration Process" (in spanish btw), and then after few minutes, the application starts, it keeps reinstalling. Delete your Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
