Solved: Office 2007 -- Won't Install

If so, who should I be calling? Here, I had changed my document file extension to .doc (old style Word) and not to .docx as I had previously saved them. Another search of microsofts kb led to KB#928218 which told me how to remove office 2007 manualy. Problem: I cannot get the application to accept my purchased product key and getting help from Microsoft is like going to the moon on a tricycle.
