Solved: Office Doesn't Recognize New Fonts

Totally rubbish!!!! Even though it was marked as a .ttf I told it to convert to a .ttf and BAM!! Also, after I installed the font, I closed OpenOffice and restarted my computer. Anyway, I'll get back this pm and maybe by then someone else will post that has previously seen the problem with the missing "install new font". This is an incredibly useless system. why did they get rid of such a basic, yet important feature ??

No applications recognize the new fonts? There were two [Solved] threads here. You see exactly one font (style) in a family; delete it, and you see another one, and so on. What is wrong with good old TTF.

Hope it works for you too! The workaround I found is to open the folder of the font you wish to install, select all and drag to the Win 7 fonts folder.
