Go in and make sure your windows updates are up to date, then go to your micrsoft edge page go to setting go to open with internet explorer pin to taskbar

Apparently there's a problem with Windows Edge. So for anyone saying they can't understand why this works or that its unbelievable, that is why.Instant search is what is broken here, this is just bypassing it, not fixing it.
