Select Tools > Folder Options > File Types tab > Scroll down the registered file types and look for PDF If you find PDF, highlight it and select the Change button. Tell us if that creates any error messages when you try to do it. No, create an account now. If you are trying to send directly from the scanner - give up - it is less hassle to save the document first. I did not try sending it to the computer that I was working on.
