BUT - the interesting thing - is that this setting is user related - so meaning if you log in as a different identity, you will have those shut down options I have tried this but computer does not add any users. and I can't get to "search" or "run." Well, I actually just found out, so for future reference no one has really mentioned this before but just searching the group policies editor I found this option: User Configuration > Then login normally. I posted a comment on the Microsoft site in the forums regarding this issue. I've searched around but couldn't find anything. In fact after waiting a long period of time to finally speak to them, I was disconnected. It doesn't do the critical error now but it doesn't give me a start menu either.
Reply Myles09-13-15 4th option for me basically worked, but it also removed ALL of my x86 apps from the start menu. Unfortinately, i could not run the powershell directly as administrator, so i ran the command line as administrator, starting the Powershell from that point.
